13.5.36. Removal and installation of the lever of screenwash

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Moisten a windshield with water.
  1. Include quickly a screen wiper and switch off it the switch. At the same time the screen wiper stops in extreme situation.
  1. Note on glass the provision of brushes at correctly installed levers, for example, by means of an adhesive tape.
  1. Open a cowl.
  1. Hook the screw-driver and uncover (3), (1) – brackets; (5) – spoiler lattice.
  1. Turn off a nut (4) approximately on 2 turns, without turning off it completely. Slightly move the lever (2) so that it separated from an axis. Turn off a nut completely and remove the lever from an axis. It is possible to apply also special stripper to this purpose, for example, of HAZET 1966-05.

If the lever hard is removed, hook it a wrench and carefully remove.

Installation

  1. Check that the electric motor of a screen wiper stood in extreme situation. If necessary, quickly turn on the electric motor and switch off the switch.
  1. Install the lever on an axis of a screen wiper and expose it by means of the tag put in the form of an adhesive tape. It is also possible to expose the lever on distance between a brush and a lattice of a spoiler, having measured it from the right top of a cleaner

    Sedan/station wagon
    and = 26 mm
    b = 45 mm
    Cabriolet:
    and =24 ± 5 mm
    b = 35 ± 5 mm

  1. Screw a nut and tighten it by hand.
  1. Check extreme position of levers. For this purpose close a cowl, moisten glass with water and quickly include a screen wiper. Screen wipers have to return to the adjusted extreme situation and should not go out of the edge of glass. If necessary, turn off nuts and again adjust the provision of screen wipers.
  1. Tighten nuts the moment of 21 Nanometer. Establish to the place of a cover of levers.
