3.18. Check of level of liquid of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel

Periodically check liquid level in system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel in order to avoid emergence of problems with management of the car, such as damage of the steering pump.

Level of oil needs to be checked in cold or warm (not above + 50 °C) a condition of the engine.

Do not hold a steering wheel turned against the stop in this or that party more than five seconds. It can put the steering pump out of action.

The tank of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel is located in a motive compartment and has the unscrewing cover with the measuring probe which is built in in it.


  1. Park the car on the flat platform and cock the parking brake. Establish forward wheels in situation "directly".
  1. Turn off a tank stopper for oil. Wipe the index of level on a cover pure, not tousled, with a rag.
  1. Screw and again turn off a cover by hand. Level of oil has to be 2 mm above or lower than the mark MIN.
  1. Add in system surely only pure oil since even insignificant pollution can result in malfunctions in work of a hydraulic system.
  2. Screw a tank cover by hand.

Check at a working temperature of the engine


  1. Warm the engine and stop it. Oil has to get warm up to the temperature + 50 °C.
  2. Let's work to the engine on single turns and establish wheels directly.
  3. Check oil level at the working engine. Oil level at a wrapped up stopper has to lie between tags of MIN and MAX.
