2.6. Heater, ventilation and conditioner of air

The heater and ventilation maintain pleasant temperature in interior of the car.

The left display serves for indication of the set temperature from the driver, and right for indication of the set temperature from the forward passenger.

All modes of the conditioner join and switched off by pressing of keys. At the included mode in the corresponding key the diode burns.

Filter

The filter substantially reduces amount of the dust which is contained in external air, pollen, gases, etc.

Change an element of the filter according to the Schedule of maintenance.

At strong air pollution more frequent replacement of the filtering element can be required.

It is important for normal work of system of heating and ventilation that the air inlet before a windshield was not hammered with snow, ice or foliage.

Arriving via stitched channels and distributed then on all salon air is removed through exhaust cracks under back glass. Therefore do not close them articles of clothing, etc. things.

Regulation of temperature(s) (+)

Temperature in salon can be set separately for the party of the driver and the forward passenger.

Party of the driver

The actual value of temperature is displayed in the form of segment indication of the display located over keys.

In the mode of the maximum heating capacity indication the MOVE is brought to the display. At minimum established temperature (external temperature) MIN indication is brought to the display.

(+) from the driver or the forward passenger switching of value of temperature for the driver on the party of the forward passenger and vice versa happens more long simultaneous pressing of keys and. The new established temperature is brought to indication of the corresponding display. There is a possibility of return to earlier established temperature. For this purpose the driver or a lobby the passenger have to establish anew temperature on the display.

Having warmed (defrosting) of glasses

As fast as possible defreezes and drains wind and side glasses.

  2. For switching off press a key again.

Temperature is regulated automatically. The maximum air supply is carried out mainly on channels 1 and 2.

The mode of air circulation is switched off by pressing of a key.

Adjustment of the fan (-) (+)

Frequency of rotation of the fan can decrease and increase.

  1. For adjustment of turns of the fan (air supply) press a key(s) or (+) (C).

The actual turns of the fan it is displayed in the form of segment indication of the display located over keys.

We recommend, at the movement with a small speed, to turn on the fan on low power.

For prevention of hit include in salon of the polluted external air pressing of a key the mode of circulation (F).

Air distribution

It is possible to change the air distribution mode.

Perhaps both the separate, and combined manipulation keys, and, (D). Three keys have the following appointment. Numbers correspond to nozzles and deflectors.

Air supply to glasses

All consumption of air is implemented on channels 1 and 2. Unlike the mode the amount of air does not change.

Air supply from the dashboard

All consumption of air is implemented with giving via dashboard deflectors 3 and 4, and also the central console behind.

Air supply in space for legs

All consumption of air is implemented through stitched channels 5 and nozzles under front seats.

In the given provisions of the air distributor some leak of air via other deflectors always takes place.

Circulation mode

In the mode of circulation hit in interior of the car of the polluted external air is substantially prevented.

In the circulation mode access of air is from the outside blocked, and its volume is distributed in salon around. The mode of circulation is recommended to be included in the following situations:

At the movement through a tunnel or in a transport stopper for prevention of hit of external air in salon.

For the safety reasons, at the pressed key the mode of air circulation is impossible.

Inclusion and switching off of the OFF fan

  1. Press the <OFF> key. The fan is switched off and access of external air is blocked.

Besides, the fan turns on repeated pressing of the <OFF> key, and also pressing of a key of the fan or regulation of temperature again (+).

Air can arrive, depending on the chosen option of distribution (B) and the external air - heated (D), not heated or cooled.

Nozzles of air of space for legs are located under front seats. Control of them is exercised together with nozzles (5).

Heating wind and side glasses

The conditioner automatically maintains at all seasons of the year the set temperature in interior of the car.

The recommended all-weather standard control:

  1. Establish temperature of 22 °C (71 °F),
  2. Press the <AUTO> key.

Such control provides the most bystry creation in salon of a comfortable microclimate. Therefore to recede from it there is a sense only if it is dictated by own health.

The conditioner represents a combination of a heater, the fan and refrigerator working in the automatic mode. The conditioner provides decrease in humidity and cooling of air in salon.

The conditioner completely automatically supports the set temperature condition in interior of the car. For this purpose automatically temperature and amount of the air arriving on stitched channels change, and also air streams are distributed. The conditioner reacts also to sunlight and therefore manual adjustment is not required. For this reason the automatic mode almost in all cases represents an optimal variant of good health in the car at all seasons of the year.

In the cooling mode humidity of air in salon goes down. Thanks to it fogging of glasses is prevented.

At the high external temperature and humidity from the evaporator the condensed water can drip, forming a pool under the car. It is normal and is not a depressurization sign!

The fan turns on in cold weather only after warming up of cooling liquid up to the necessary temperature. The exception makes the mode of heating of a windshield.

At sharp start-off with completely squeezed out accelerator pedal the compressor of the conditioner is switched-off for some time for realization of full capacity of the engine.

The compressor is switched-off at too high temperature of cooling liquid for ensuring normal cooling of the engine in the conditions of extreme loading.

Filter of thin cleaning

The filter (consisting of the filter of microparticles and absorbent carbon) substantially reduces amount of the dust which is contained in external air, pollen, gases, etc.

Change an element of the filter according to the Schedule of maintenance.

If you had suspicions that the conditioner is faulty, it is necessary to include the ECON mode at once and to check the conditioner.

In order to avoid falling warm and refrigerating capacities, and also foggings of glasses important that the air inlet before a windshield was not hammered with snow, ice or foliage.

The set temperature is maintained in the automatic mode and humidity of air in salon decreases. Temperature, quantity and distribution of air are regulated automatically by criterion of the fastest achievement and the subsequent maintenance of the necessary temperature in salon. At the same time automatic response to fluctuations of temperature of external air, and also to influence of the sun is provided.

This mode is possible only in the temperature range from +18 °C to +29 °C. At the established temperature less than +18 °C on the display indication of "LO" appears. At a temperature more than +29 °C indication of "HI" appears. In final provisions of "LO" and "HI" the system constantly works in the mode maximum hlado-or heat of productivity. At the same time there is no regulation of temperature.

By long pressing of the <AUTO> key from the driver it is possible to switch the mode of regulation of temperature to the party of the forward passenger and vice versa. Indication of new temperature is brought to the display.

Regulation of temperature(s) (+)

The new established temperature is brought to indication of the corresponding display. There is a possibility of return to earlier established temperature. For this purpose the driver or the forward passenger have to install temperature on the side anew.

The compressor does not work in the ECON mode. Function of a heater and the fan is regulated automatically. "ECON" is meant by "economy". Fuel is saved thanks to shutdown of the refrigerating unit (compressor).

Remember that in the ECON mode temperature in salon should not be below external temperature. Otherwise air will not be cooled, and its humidity will not decrease. As a result glasses can mist over.

Inclusion of the ECON mode of the car with the diesel engine disconnects an additional heater and by that fuel is saved.

Automatic mode of circulation

The sensor of quality of air defines the increased concentration of harmful substances in external air and automatically includes the circulation mode.

The automatic mode of circulation has to be included whenever possible always.

The device is ready for operation in 30 seconds after inclusion of ignition/start of the engine. Only external air comes to this period in the car.

Degree of impurity of external air is estimated by the sensor of quality of air located in the conditioner which, depending on impurity level, gives the command of purification of air by means of serially installed filter of harmful substances or team of inclusion of the mode of circulation. At high concentration of harmful substances the conditioner automatically switches in the mode of circulation and, thereby, access of external air to salon is blocked. At decrease in degree of impurity of external air external air starts over again coming to salon.

The maximum duration of the automatic mode of circulation makes 12 minutes. When fogging glasses press a key at once.

Under certain conditions operation (for example, program situation or ) the automatic mode of circulation is switched off. In the ECON mode and temperature less than -8 °C time of the automatic mode of circulation is limited twelve (12) seconds.

Switching of units of measure of temperature

Indication of temperature can be switched from Celsius scale to the Fahrenheit scale and vice versa.

The conditioner automatically regulates the frequency of rotation of the fan depending on temperature in salon. The amount of air can be regulated also at will manually. The actual frequency of rotation is displayed in the form of segment indication of the display located over keys.

Nozzles and deflectors

Air supply, (see silt. Dashboard: an arrangement of air snuffled also deflectors) it can be regulated as follows:

Air supply is regulated depending on the chosen control mode automatically or manually. The heated, not heated or cooled external air can move.

Air nozzles of space for legs of back passengers are located under front seats. Control of air is exercised together with nozzles (5).

During the operation of the conditioner in the cooling mode air arrives mainly on channels (3) and (4). For the purpose of effective cooling of salon never close completely channels (3) and (4).

Air distribution

It is possible to change the air distribution mode set by automatic equipment.

Perhaps both the separate, and combined manipulation keys, or. If necessary to return to the automatic mode of distribution of air turn off the corresponding functions by pressing of these keys separately or pressing of the <AUTO> key.

Conditioner and economy of fuel

Competent operation of the conditioner helps to save fuel.

The conditioner working in the cooling mode reduces engine capacity and influences fuel consumption. Therefore for maximum a minimiza

the tion of time of inclusion of this mode needs to remember the following:

Reduction of emission of harmful substances in the atmosphere is result of economy of fuel.

The conditioner operated by a key

At inclusion of ignition the conditioner parameters programmed on a key automatically are reproduced.

Settings of the conditioner are programmed automatically and correspond to the used key. At start of the engine the parameters programmed on this key automatically are reproduced. Thus, each driver can automatically reproduce the key the control preferred to them, without resorting every time to new control.

If other driver uses your key and changes conditioner settings, then in this case there is a programming of the parameters set by this driver on your key

The fan with the drive from the solar battery / the roof panel with the solar battery

At sufficient sunlight the fan after switching off of ignition continues to work on solar energy in the mode of supply of external air.

After switching off of ignition the fan automatically switches to food from the roof of solar energy located in the panel. Deflectors 3 and 4 have to be open for optimum ventilation.

Ventilation works only at the closed/lifted roof panel.

At switching off of the engine in the circulation mode the conditioner automatically switches to the mode of supply of external air.

Autonomous heater and fan

Description

The autonomous heater / fan can work irrespective of the engine.

The autonomous heater works irrespective of the engine. The principle of its work is based on fuel combustion. It is intended first of all for warming up of salon and facilitates defrosting of glasses.

The autonomous heater can be used as an additional heater both at the switched-off engine, and at the movement (for example, at a stage of warming up of the engine).

The independent fan also works irrespective of the engine and effectively promotes decrease in temperature in interior of the car left in the sun.

Management of the mode of autonomous heating / ventilation is carried out by means of an information system of the driver (FIS). In the menu it is possible to program time and duration of inclusion. Period of operation of an autonomous heater / fan can fluctuate ranging from 15 up to 60 minutes. The autonomous heater / fan can be switched on and off also remote радиоуправлением*.

At the programmed timer and at inclusion by means of remote radio control the operating mode (an autonomous heater or the fan) decides on the basis of comparison of the system of heating/ventilation or the conditioner of temperature installed by you appropriate authorities of management on the actual temperature in salon.

If fuel level in a tank reached a reserve, then the autonomous heater cannot be included.

The autonomous heater the fan is disconnected at poorly charged accumulator at once. For safety of the accumulator do not include several times in a row autonomous heater.

Operation of an autonomous heater of the fan does not demand special setup of the conditioner. It is recommended to open air supply.

At operation of the car on RME fuel (the diesel engine) application of an autonomous heater is not allowed.

For acceleration of cooling of an autonomous heater after each its switching off some time the circulation pulser and the fan giving hot air continue to work.

Programming

Control of an autonomous heater of the fan is exercised of the rotary/press button of the central console.

Programming and control is exercised through the modes of setup of the display of an information system of the driver of FIS, cm. Information system of the driver (FIS).

  1. Press the <MENU> key. There is an initial menu, see silt. Types of indication.
  2. Establish by rotation of the rotary/press button a line of selection on Einstellen (control) (on a red background).
  3. Confirm selection with pressing of the rotary/press button. There is a list of the menu.
  4. In the same way choose the Standheizung menu from this menu / - Luften (an autonomous heater / fan).
  5. Press the rotary/press button. There is a Heizen/Luften menu (heating/ventilation).
  6. Include urgent function by rotation/pressing of the rotary/press button (-yes, - no) and, if necessary, carry out other control.

The following types of control are possible:

In the mode "Incl. motor" (only some modifications of the car) a part of heat of an autonomous heater is in addition used for warming up of the engine.

Choice of the timer, installation of time and duration of inclusion

Control of an autonomous heater of the fan is carried out through FIS.

  5. Confirm with repeated pressing of the rotary/press button selection of the urgent timer.

Installation of time of inclusion

  1. Establish by rotation of the rotary/press button a line of the choice on hkh:khkh/hkh.khkh.
  2. Press the rotary/press button. Hour indication blinks.
  3. Establish by rotation of the rotary/press button hour indication.
  4. Again press the rotary/press button. Indication of minutes blinks.
  5. In the same way establish indication of minutes, day and month.
  6. Press the rotary/press button. Now control of other functions or an exit from the menu through the Zuruck team is possible.

Installation of period of operation

  1. Establish by rotation of the rotary/press button a line of selection on Dauer хх to Min (duration хх minutes).
  2. Press the rotary/press button. Indication of duration of inclusion blinks.
  3. As rotation of the rotary/press button choose installation of duration (5-minute values ranging from 15 up to 60 minutes).
  4. Press the rotary/press button. Now control of other functions or an exit from the menu through the Zuruck team is possible.

After inclusion of an autonomous heater of the fan through the Heizung ein or Luftung ein menu (expeditious inclusion of a heater or the fan) or remote radio control the set parameters of duration of operation of the timer 1 are staticized.

The maximum time of preliminary programming of an autonomous heater / fan makes 30 days. At input of the value exceeding this figure, the marker of control is established for the greatest possible date.

At installation of already expired date the marker of control comes back to indication of today's date. If the entered time of hours (timer) already expired, then there is an automatic switching to tomorrow's date.

Turning on of the timer

The timer includes an autonomous heater / fan in the set time.

After selection of the timer, installation of time, and duration of inclusion include function of the timer as follows:

  3. Now control of other functions or an exit from the menu through the Zuruck team is possible.

The timers brought into an operating mode are presented on the display of the digital watch in the form of the following symbols:

After setup of the timer both symbols are brought to indication of the display of hours at the same time.

During the work of an autonomous heater or the fan the corresponding symbol blinks.

Expeditious inclusion

Also expeditious inclusion of an autonomous heater / fan is possible.

In the Hizen/Luften menu (heater/fan) choose the line Heizung ein (expeditious inclusion of a heater) or Luftung ein (expeditious turning on of the fan).

  1. Establish by pressing of the rotary/press button a tick, opposite to Heizung Ein. Thereby the autonomous heater / fan joins.
  2. Now control of other functions or an exit from the menu through the Zuruck team is possible

Work duration after expeditious inclusion is defined by the set control of time of the timer 1 (Timer 1).

Expeditious switching off

The autonomous heater / fan can be switched off also manually.

  1. In the Hizen/Luften menu (heating/ventilation) choose the line Heizung ein (expeditious inclusion of a heater) or Luftung ein (expeditious turning on of the fan).
  2. Remove with pressing of the rotary/press button a tick. Thereby the autonomous heater / fan is switched off.
  3. Now control of other functions or an exit from the menu through the Zuruck team is possible.

Also radio-controlled inclusion or switching off of an autonomous heater / fan is possible.

Replacement of batteries

Remote radio control by an autonomous heater / fan: replacement of batteries

  1. Displace back and uncover the transmitter.
  2. Replace batteries. On batteries there is a marking for their correct installation. New batteries (1.5 B) have to meet the specification of original batteries.
  3. Close a cover.

The operating mode (autonomous heater or the independent fan) decides as a result of comparison of temperature installed by you appropriate authorities of management of system of heating/ventilation or the conditioner on the actual temperature in salon.

Duration of work of an autonomous heater / fan is defined by the set control of time of the timer 1 (Timer 1).

If you want to include an autonomous heater / fan after the expiration of time of its work again, then it is necessary press a key of switching off (3) and only then a key of inclusion (1) in the beginning.

At shutdown with a key (3) about three seconds the control lamp (2) transmitters burns.

Additional heater

For bystry heating of salon cars with the diesel engine are completed with an additional heater. The additional heater joins and switched off automatically depending on temperature of cooling liquid, at a temperature of external air less than +5 °C and the working engine.

The additional heater for economy of fuel can be switched off pressing of the <Econ> key of the conditioner.

Heating of seats

There is a possibility of an electrical heating of pillows and backs of front seats, and also both back side seats.

Front seats

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For inclusion and regulation of heating of a seat of the driver or the forward passenger rotate the regulator (1) or (2).

Back seats

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For inclusion and regulation of heating of the left or right back seat rotate the regulator (A) or (B).

For heating inclusion the corresponding corrugated handle is brought out of situation 0 and turns with installation in one of six possible temperature ranges.

Back seats are warmed only when finding of passengers on them.

You are not on seats, on a lap and do not subject separate points of a surface of a seat to influence different way not to damage heating elements.

Heating of a steering wheel

Heating of a steering wheel joins/is switched off together with heating of a seat of the driver.

Inclusion

  1. Install the regulator (1) by rotation in the provision of inclusion of heating of a seat of the driver.

Switching off

  1. Install the regulator (1) by rotation in situation 0.

If temperature in salon makes less than 20 °C, then at inclusion of heating of a seat there is an automatic inclusion of heating of a steering wheel. Temperature of heating of a steering wheel is set in advance and is not regulated.
