11.8. Removal and installation of the switch of a stoplight
The switch of a stoplight is in a pedal support. When pressing a pedal of a brake by means of the switch the stoplight lights up. Besides, the switch of a stoplight serves as the sensor for the ABS/EDS control unit. Therefore the correct work and adjustment of the switch of a stoplight has special value.
Removal

The switch of a stoplight can be installed only once. After removal it needs to be replaced. |
|
- Remove a pocket from the driver, address the Section Removal and installation of a pocket from the driver.
|
- Squeeze the plug (2) in the direction of an arrow and disunite connection.
|
|
- Turn the stoplight switch on 45 ° to the left and by that release it. Take out the stoplight switch.

Installation
|
|
- At the new switch of a stoplight completely take out a pusher (the shooter on an accompanying illustration).
|
|
|
|
In installation time do not press a brake pedal. |
|
- Insert the switch the lock levels (1) and (2) into grooves of a support of a pedal and record, having turned on 45 ° to the right. Position of the switch has to be reliable. At installation of the switch the pusher itself holds the correct position.

- Fix the stoplight switch plug, check operation of the switch.
|
- Establish into place a pocket from the driver, address the Section Removal and installation of a pocket from the driver.
