6.4.5. Removal and installation of the catalytic converter and lambda probes

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover the engine in a motive compartment, address the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the lower protection of a motive compartment / stretcher.
  2. Remove a broad tank of cooling liquid.
  3. Disunite the socket of the index of temperature of cooling liquid. Disconnect a broad tank and take it aside. Do not disconnect hoses of cooling liquid.
  1. Disconnect the AKF valve (1). Turn out screws (arrows on an accompanying illustration) and take out a hose for air absorption.
  1. Disconnect a hose for absorption of air (1) from a hose (2). Remove a hose from the lower party of a branch pipe of absorption of air.
  1. Remove the case of the air filter, address the Section Removal and installation of the air filter.
  1. Disunite the socket (2) a lambda probe 2, the catalytic converter located later.
  1. Disunite the socket (5) a lambda probe 1, located in front of the catalytic converter. (1) – the detonation sensor, (3) – the engine speed sensor, (4) – the sensor of a detonation 2.

Replacement lambda probes

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn out a lambda probes.
  2. Grease a carving a lambda probes with high-temperature G 05212A3 paste. Paste should not get on case vents.
  3. Fix a lambda probes by the moment 55 Nanometers.
  4. If were replaced only a lambda probes: Join sockets (2) and (5) a lambda probes.

Further removal of the catalytic converter

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Separate the bolt connection the catalytic converter / a final collector (shooters on an accompanying illustration).

Lifting operation and installations of the car on supports is connected with danger! Therefore before carrying out operation study Poddomkrachivaniye's Section and towage.

  1. Lift and install the car on supports.
  1. At cars with parking/additional heating: Turn out bolts (arrows on an accompanying illustration) fastenings of an exhaust pipe of parking/additional heating to the lower cover of a motive compartment.
  1. Remove the lower cover of a motive compartment, address the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the lower protection of a motive compartment / stretcher.
  2. Disconnect a cover over the right power shaft.
  1. Turn off bolts of fastening and disconnect the catalytic converter from a preliminary pipe (arrow). Take out the catalytic converter upward

Protect the catalytic converter from blows.
